The Style Icon – Chopard Alpine Eagle

The eagle soars – precipitous rockfaces, the sun reflecting on the ice of the glacier, and above it all hovers the king of the skies. This captivating mountain world is what Karl-Friedrich Scheufele was envisioning when he created the new Chopard collection Alpine Eagle, which follows a trend in the sports watch market.

Chopard Alpine Eagle

We have the first models.

For some time already, we have been noticing a rise in demand for elegant sports watches which – in contrast to the classic diver's watch – sit flat on the wrist and sparkle subtly beneath the wearer’s sleeve. The Alpine Eagle presents this trend to optimum effect. It is more lightweight, smoother and offers the wearer the utmost comfort. We’ve waited a long time for this particular innovation – and it has more than met our expectations.

Its design is modern, timeless and full of contrasts...

The purist, angular design of the casing and the flat profile contrast with the rougher structure of the dial, while the overall image is perfected by the elegant Roman numerals typical of the Art Deco era. These two ends of a spectrum guarantee a stylish, confident look, hence this is an ideal watch for people whose visions have always inspired others.

Chopard Alpine Eagle

…and it suits men and women alike.

The Chopard Alpine Eagle is available not only in two sizes, but also in a variety of different versions. In the more delicate 36-millimeter size, the watch adorns female wrists in rose gold, stainless steel or in a two-tone version, with or without a diamond-encrusted bezel. The larger man’s watch in stainless steel and two-tone versions also boasts an integrated date display.

You can see it...

It’s not only the rose gold and the two-tone models that score points for their special radiance. For the stainless steel versions too, Chopard is pursuing its own path in order to give full expression to its expertise. What’s more, the Lucent Steel A223 is not only 50 percent less abrasive than conventional stainless steel, but also captivates with its significantly greater purity. The result is unique reflections of light that are deliberately enhanced by the intriguing use of polished and matt surfaces.

…but you don’t feel it.

With this watch concept however, the Lucent Steel A223 not only offers a visual advantage, but is also hypoallergenic and skin-friendly, and is therefore similar to surgical steel. Thanks to its low weight and the smooth wristband with bar-shaped links, the Alpine Eagle guarantees perfect wearer comfort.

Its inner qualities score points across the board...

For the Alpine Eagle women’s model, Chopard uses one of the smallest manufacture calibres certified by the official Swiss chronometer-testing site (COSC) for the chronometer. A rarity for watches in this category.

Chopard Alpine Eagle

…and its workmanship is beyond all doubt.

The Chopard factory manufactures and assembles all the components of the Alpine Eagle watches in-house, from the components of the mechanism to the fabrication of the case and wristband. One detail was a source of particular fascination to us here: The slits of the eight screws are oriented precisely and according to clear rules tangentially on the round bevel.

Your companion for any situation in life.

Whatever the circumstances – the Alpine Eagle shines for its reliability as an everyday watch. The case is water-resistant up to 10 bar, which corresponds to a depth of around 100 metres. Hence, you can also wear the watch on your wrist while swimming.

Chopard Alpine Eagle

It is an homage.

The Chopard Alpine Eagle, like the legendary Chopard St. Moritz, is testament to the long tradition of progress at Chopard. At the same time, it is a symbol of persistence and a manifestation of the value in following your convictions, namely those of Karl-Fritz, the youngest member of the Scheufele family –just as the St. Moritz was once his father’s idea.
